# Always up to date *How do you get your news about TeachCenter (TC) and TeachCenter Exam?* *Published: 15 September 2021 · Updated: 30 January 2026* *Authors: TU Graz Educational Technology* We at the OU Educational Technology are constantly developing the TC and TC Exam and try to accommodate the wishes of teachers and students as much as possible. In addition, updates to new Moodle versions mean that new features are added all the time. In this article, you will find out where, how and when you will be informed about updates in TC and TC Exam, so that you are always up-to-date with the latest TC features and can back up all your courses in time or prepare them for the coming semester. > **Info** > > *Every second Thursday of the month:* regular update, providing solutions to reported problems and/or new features *Mid-February and mid-September:* semester change in the TeachCenter *Irregularly, in summer:* update to a new Moodle version, bringing major changes and new features ## TC announcements on maintenance windows, events and updates  *I am a sticker. Find out more about me in the FAQ.* News is communicated after each monthly update and in between updates via [announcements](https://tc.tugraz.at/main/mod/forum/view.php?id=1) in the TeachCenter. You can also subscribe to [email notifications](https://telucation.tugraz.at/en/guides/managing-notifications-tc/) for the announcements forum. Maintenance windows during which the platform is unavailable are also announced a few days in advance as a banner at the top of the page. ## Semester change in February and September The date of the TeachCenter semester change (= the day on which students of the current semester gain access to the courses and students of the oldest semester lose access) is displayed in advance on the [dashboard](https://tc.tugraz.at/main/my/). Two weeks before the semester change in the TeachCenter, teachers with affected courses will receive information about their courses by email. In the [FAQ for teachers](https://tc.tugraz.at/main/course/view.php?idnumber=faqteacher), all teachers can find the most important information about the semester change in the TeachCenter. > **Important** > > Save documents in good time before the course reset or semester change. This page also provides information on how long the plug-ins are expected to be supported. ## Events by Educational Technology, the Vice Rectorate for Academic Affairs and other media of TU Graz You can learn about new – or existing, but as yet unknown to you – features in the TeachCenter, for example, at training courses offered through in-house training or at an individual consultation as part of TEL coaching. All offers can be booked through the in-house training. In addition, you will receive the ‚Teaching and Learning News‘ twice per semester, a newsletter by the Vice Rectorate for Academic Affairs announcing new features and dates.
