#23 - Tanja Wrodnigg: Practical laboratory teaching in focus

In this episode, Tanja Wrodnigg from the Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Biobased Systems talks about her diverse activities - from basic research in the field of carbohydrate chemistry to her work as Dean of Studies and intensive laboratory work with students. Her focus is on practical training in the chemistry degree programme, which is internationally renowned for its high quality. Tanja Wrodnigg explains why laboratory teaching is not only enriching from a technical point of view, but also from an interpersonal perspective, and how she supports students through personalised supervision. She also shares her experiences as Dean of Studies and mentor. She emphasises the importance of communication, teamwork and diversity - both in teaching and in science.
